About
Yaara Daniel Schwartz, social activist, co-founder of the Forum for Neighborhood Agriculture in Shapira, and a member of the CityTree community, will lead a tour focusing on the vision of Tel Aviv as a garden city: where has this vision been realized, where was it abandoned and forgotten, and whether we can form an urban society that promotes new values. During the tour we will examine the plans and ideas of the founders of the White City - led by biologist and city planner Patrick Geddes - and today's utopian dreamers. We begin the tour at Bialik Square, proceed to the ecologic house of CityTree, continue along some of the utopian building of the White City, and finish under the mulberry tree standing at the CityTree and White City Center garden.
