About

After entering the building while carefully observing the lobby, and following a thoughtful visit to the living room, it’s now time to step out into the balcony.

Conservation Architect Nitza Metzger-Szmuk will talk about the history of balconies in Tel Aviv as links between the home and the street.
Architecture Curator and Researcher Shelly Cohen will discuss the balcony as an Israeli cultural and architectural phenomenon; and how market forces and planning laws can sometimes influence it as much as the architecture.

Artist Yael Efrati will present her work and talk about the artistic potential of shutters, railings, and bars incorporated in balconies across the country.
