About
A film by Amit Epstein, who lives and works in Berlin. Epstein travels from Israel to Germany and examines the cultural characteristics of his grandmother's home - from clothes to living room furniture - contemplating questions of immigration and homeland.
“My grandmother's world was a magical realm of matching colors, floral patterns whose inner reason, ideology and order were known to her alone. [...] Unlike my grandmother, I had never met Germans or visited Europe, but had always felt a longing for a distant homeland.”
